About us

A small team that turns up, measures properly, and finishes the job

Framedless Glass installs shower screens, balustrades, splashbacks and mirrors across Sydney, the Hills District, Sutherland Shire and Wollongong. Residential and commercial, new builds and renovations.

We started out doing what most glaziers do — shower screens and mirrors, one bathroom at a time. Over a few hundred jobs the work widened into balustrades, splashbacks, roof glazing and repairs, and the thing that kept bringing customers back was never the glass itself. It was that the measure was right, the price didn't move, and the job was finished when we said it would be.

Glazing sits in an awkward spot in a renovation. It comes late, after the tiler and the benchtop, so any delay lands squarely on the handover date. And unlike most trades, the product cannot be adjusted on site — toughened glass cannot be cut, drilled or ground once it has been through the furnace. Everything has to be right before it is made.

That is why we template rather than take a tape measure to one wall. Australian walls are rarely plumb, floors rarely level, and hobs rarely square. We measure what is actually there and cut the glass to suit, so you don't end up with a 12mm silicone bead doing the work a properly scribed panel should be doing.

What you can expect

  • A written, itemised quote that specifies the glass type, thickness and hardware finish — not a lump sum.
  • The person who quotes your job is the person who installs it.
  • Grade A safety glass to AS/NZS 2208, installed to AS 1288, with pool barriers to AS 1926.
  • Full public liability insurance, and a certificate of currency the same day you ask for it.
  • Offcuts, packaging and old glass taken away. Not left in your skip.

Where we say no

We would rather lose a job than take one we cannot do well. If a balustrade needs engineering sign-off we will tell you before quoting, not after. If a wall is too far out of plumb for a frameless screen to look right, we will say so and suggest the semi-frameless option instead. And if the substrate will not safely hold a fixing, the answer is that it has to be fixed first.

How we work

Three things we don't negotiate on

Measure, don't estimate

Every panel is templated against the actual opening. It costs us a site visit and saves you a screen that doesn't fit.

The standard, not the shortcut

Where AS 1288 requires safety glass, that is what goes in — even when the original was something cheaper and nobody would have known.

One price, in writing

The quote lists the glass, the hardware and the scope. If something genuinely changes on site, you hear about it before the work happens.
